New Video – Scalloped Tag Topper Punch Card

As many of you reading this blog already know, I am smack in the middle of running a Creative Challenge.  As part of the challenge, we are making cards.  One of Challengers made a Scalloped Tag Topper Punch Card and it was beautiful and inspired so many of us.  Some of our Challenge members wanted to know how to create this type of card so this post is really for them!

I’ve developed my own method of creating this type of card.  If you notice in the sample below, the lines around the scallop are all clean.  It can be tricky cutting out excess paper using the paper trimmer, so I developed a method using scoring and some scissors.


I find with this type of card, sometimes it’s better to keep the decoration simple so that the eye goes to the unique effect of the card.  I therefore double-tied the blue ribbon, drawing the eye to the focal point of the card.


Here is the inside of the card.  You can write a sentiment, just as you normally would.  However, given the card looks like you’re opening a gift, I think gluing a gift card to the inside would be very nice, too.
