Making Clouds

We are focusing on clouds in my creative challenge so I wanted to make another sample to show everyone.  I also used the technique I taught last week to make the tree colorful.  I am loving these techniques.  The cool thing about trying something new is that the more you do it, the more comfortable you get with it. I’m making cards left and right with these techniques. Such fun!  I bet I’ll be using them a ton long after the challenge ends, too.

To make the card, I combined two stamps in the Happy Home stamp set, which made a scene.  I love love love how they look together.  The bench stamp was a hard one to use on its own since there’s not much going on in that scene.  Add the tree and it becomes a beautiful park scene.

To make the clouds, I sponged both Marina Mist and Soft Sky ink.  (Just be careful not to move the template when using more than one color.)  The grass is sponged in Wild Wasabi.  The tree has many colors in it. I started with Crushed Curry and added reds, pinks, oranges, and purples.
