Do Less So You Can Do More

Do less

Have you ever thought about the concept of doing LESS so you can do MORE? That’s a concept that’s hard for me because I tend to do it all. I’m sure I’m not the only woman with this problem.

And it is a problem. It’s a problem because a day is only 24 hours and you only have so much energy and time. If you try to do everything, you can easily get overwhelmed and fall into the procrastinator trap of doing nothing. Or you can get things done, but maybe they won’t get done “well.” (And you know our expectations are high so that’s a big problem for some of us!)

I’m feeling great about where I’ve taken my stamping business recently. A few months ago, as some of you may know, I decided to focus my efforts and go exclusively online. This was a great decision for me. It epitomized what it means for me to do less so I could do more. Instead of doing a half-hearted attempt at both aspects of the business, by focusing on one area, I could really develop it.

At the advice of my husband, I’m doing this again. And I’m so excited about the decision! Instead of posting to the blog almost every weekday, I’ll experiment with posting three times a week – but one of those days will be a video! Of course, this may mean my husband needs to make dinner once a twice a week, so he may not be happy with his advice. LOL. I’m going to try it for the next month or two and see how it goes. It may not work out, but if it does, it will be so much fun. (I’ll also be traveling this month, just to add to the challenge . . .

My plan is to post a card on Mondays and Wednesdays, and a video (with pdf dimensions and supplies) on Fridays. I’ll check back in to let you know how it’s going.

Looking forward to lots of continued new ideas, and developing new and better ways of doing things with you – both in our stamping world and our home lives.
