Dear Friends,

Wishing you a great week. My husband took the kids to the pool so I’m relaxing a bit. While everyone’s away, I also made the card below. I turned up Pandora to some great 80’s music and the card just came together. There’s nothing like 80’s music to get you in a great mood and inspire you, is there?  It’s playing LOUDLY now (Pat Benatar’s “We Belong”).

The flower is from the Birthday Bloom’s stamp set. I stamped it in Basic Gray and watercolored it in Flirty Flamingo and then went over it again with Watermelon Wonder.

The “For You” is cut on the top right with a bit of the decorative label punch to give it a little extra interest.

I have a confession about this card. I wanted to mount it onto Watermelon Wonder paper — but I’m almost out of it! Instead, I used Whisper White, cut thin strips of Watermelon Wonder and after I glued them on, I had almost the same effect as a whole piece of card stock. I decided to use some serpendipity in my design and left a little bit of the Whisper White showing on the left. I like it!  A lot 🙂
