Bright & Colorful Moroccan Nights

When I was little, some of my closest friends were from Morocco. I loved them because they were the sweetest friends. They would give the shirt off their back to anyone. And if they thought I was wrong about something, they explained why, so I learned to think differently and more broadly. I’m sure it’s because of these childhood friends that I was drawn to the Moroccan Nights set. It was in my first package when the new catty arrived.

Using Bright Colors with Moroccan Nights

My friends adored bright colors. When I saw the large stamp from the set, it screamed “bright.” I took out almost every bright marker I owned to color the circle. It did take me awhile. LOL. But is was worth it! The card is as colorful as I’d pictured it.

It’s hard to see in the picture, but in the box with the stamp I also lightly stamped with the splatter stamp from Gorgeous Grunge so that the paper didn’t look overly bright. I first dipped it into Smoky Slate ink, stamped off twice, then randomly stamped on the image.

To complete the card, I stamped the images in Basic Gray in random depths under the focal part of the card. I’m thrilled with how it came out since the bright colors remind me of the colors in my friend’s house.

Scenes from Morocco

Even though the Moroccan Nights suite comes with more neutral colors, I invite you to use your creativity and stamp images in colors that you love, or that you imagine are found in Morocco.

I just did a google search and the colors I remembered were SPOT on. Check out these lovely photos of life in Morocco. Now I want to go for a visit!
