Flurry of Wishes in Pink!

In my blog post this past Monday I talked about using our favorite colors when stamping. Too many times I reach for colors that I don’t love so I don’t fall into a stampin’ rut. Not today! For my card, using the Flurry of Wishes stamp set, I used my absolute favorite color, Pink Flamingo. And goodness does the card make me happy!

Flurry of Wishes

This card took a few tries to get right, but once it was finished, I was thrilled with it. I love how the snowflakes look with the non-traditional hot pink. The embossing and the sponging have such a beautiful effect, too. After creating this card, I wanted to show you how to do it, so I made a video. Hope you enjoy!!!

Making the Card Your Way

I invite you to save this card and video to Pinterest so that when you have time, you can make it!

Although the embossing is a lovely aspect to the card, if you wanted to simplify it, you have a few options:

  • You could leave off the clear embossed snowflakes. After stamping the pink snowflakes, sponge the card. It’ll look stunning!
  • Another option is instead of embossing the snowflakes in clear, you could stamp them in white. If you choose this method, be sure to first sponge the card, and then stamp it with the white ink.
  • If you have the coordinating punches (click here), you could punch out white snowflakes and adhere them to the card. For an added effect, add clear wink of stella or dazzling diamonds glitter to the snowflakes. (After writing this, I want to make this last version right away! It’ll look stunning.)

There are so many options! You can’t go wrong with any of them because those snow flakes are so gorgeous!

I really really hope you make the card! Regardless, enjoy the video and happy stamping.
