Fun Glamper Stamping

There are some stamp sets that I buy just because they’re fun. I imagine myself using them, laughing while I create and just having a ball. Glamper Greetings is one of those stamp sets.

It has a bunch of components and you can choose which ever one you’re in the mood to create. You can also create Halloween themes or Christmas themes, but it doesn’t have to be holiday related.

Glampers are trendy right now. Have you seen people post them on your facebook feed? Now that you’re looking for them, you’ll see them everywhere. It’s fun that Stampin’ Up! takes trends and turns them into stamps.

My card isn’t holiday related, but I did use some Halloween paper to add some oomph. I also used orange ink (Pumpkin Pie) to encourage me to use colors I wouldn’t normally use. I love how it came out.

I wish you could have seen me in my stamp room while I was creating it. Since the glamper lends itself to watercoloring, I used Shimmer White paper and archival black ink. I started with the Glamper and just kept adding different components such as the grass, banners, etc. I had a BALL putting it together.

Once I was done adding different features to the Glamper (don’t you LOVE the flamingo), I grabbed my aqua painter and different inks and painted on different colors. The orange is Pumpkin Pie, and looks darker in the bottom left. I used more water on the rest of the Glamper to dilute the shade. This made sure the color matched, but there was a variation to add interest to the Glamper.

When I was done watercoloring, I added some layers with the Halloween Night Specialty DSP and Smokey Slate paper, stamped the sentiment, and then attached it crookedly. Because attaching things crookedly always makes me smile!

Happy Glamping,
